Daria about Creating New Memories

Daria Krasnova, a future scientist, who specializes in Physics and Biology, started her studies at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She will study for two semesters before returning to her hometown Tyumen, Russia.

Besides studying science and specifically physics, Daria is very interested in sharing Russian culture with her American peers. She took a leading role during the Diversity class and made sure that her friends would have a chance to taste Russian national dishes.

“I cooked a beetroot salad with garlic and mayo; it is a really popular Russian salad. I wanted to cook something unusual”, she said.

Daria also talked about Russia’s educational system, her University in Russia, and shared souvenirs from University of Tyumen with other students.

“We also discussed the American, Mexican and Polish cultures and it was such an eye-opening experience for me. Those are memories that I will always cherish”, she said.
