Elizaveta wants to become a teacher. To accomplish her dreams, she moved from her hometown to Moscow to study at Moscow Pedagogical State University. Always searching to excel her knowledge and skills she applied for a YEAR program and became a student at Bemidji State University.
“My specialization is Early Childhood Education and English. I am interested in children psychology, pedagogics, and methods of teaching. At the end of this semester, I will have an opportunity to conduct several lessons for children at a school. This will definitely be a great and incredible training for me as a future teacher”, she said.
At the same time Elizaveta does her best to learn more about the US and discover its diversity and nature. She visited Lake Bemidji State Park and Headwaters of the Mississippi. “I read about this river in geography books, and I have visited it myself! I even tried kayaking for the first time. Every day I try to discover something new – kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, tasting different dishes, etc.,” Elizaveta said.
Elizaveta made several friends not only from the US, but also from Canada, Spain, Japan, Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, and Poland. “We usually spend our free time together, sharing cultures, telling life stories, playing games, watching movies, or walking around. It is very nice to be a part of this community!”, she said.
